Snakes and Science offers fun, educational, and hands-on snake experiences designed to help people better understand and appreciate one of the world’s most misunderstood animals.

Programs feature friendly, captive-bred, non-venomous snakes and are perfect for birthday parties, school assemblies, classrooms, camps, family nights, STEAM events, carnivals, fairs, and community gatherings.​

What Are The Options?

Interactive Presentation

Ideal for birthday parties, schools, classrooms, camps, and assemblies.

This option includes an educational presentation about snake biology, natural history, ecology, and safe interaction. After the presentation, participants have the opportunity to touch, hold, and take photos with several snakes! Duration is 1–1.5 hours.

Interactive Booth

Ideal for carnivals, fairs, STEAM nights, family nights, vendor events, and community gatherings.

Guests can visit the display at their own pace to meet the snakes, ask questions, take photos, and interact with select snakes when appropriate. Duration varies.

Pricing

Pricing for interactive presentations is $250 (sales tax included) and remains the same whether it is 1- 1.5 hours, or slightly shorter upon request.

For larger school/camp groups, I recommend 2 separate presentations, splitting participants by age into smaller groups whenever possible. This creates a more personal experience and allows each child more one-on-one time with the animals.

 

Booth-style experiences start at $250 for up to 1.5 hours, with pricing adjusted based on the length of the event.

Travel

Travel is included in the price for events in King County.

A small travel fee of $0.67 per mile round trip will apply for events outside King County.

Indoor / Outdoor Requirements

Outdoor presentations and booths may be possible, provided there is an indoor, temperature-controlled backup location available in case outdoor temperatures fall outside 65–75°F or adequate shade is not available.

The health and safety of the snakes are always the top priority.

To officially reserve your date and time, full payment is required in advance.

Safety

All snakes used in programs are non-venomous and handled regularly for educational outreach.

Interactions are always optional and supervised. While bites are extremely rare, snakes are still animals and may bite if startled or mishandled. Snakes and Science LLC is licensed and insured.
